Both belong to the group of surface hinges.
MEX is a new product, that is as durable as the previously known MX. The tests show the 14th class of use of the hinge.
At first glance, from the front, it looks the same, however, if you look at it from a different perspective, you will notice this slight visual difference.
We can see the difference in the shape of the wings. By shifting the axis of rotation of the hinge from 21 to 20 mm from the plane of the door, we managed to obtain slimmer wings.
Other important differences are hidden inside the hinge, e.g. sleeve and pin.

- sleeve diameter MX ~20mm, MEX ~18,5mm,
- sealing pressure adjustment range MEX increased to ± 1,2mm
- way of adjusting sealing pressure using a special key, MEX also using an allen key
A new type of hinge designed for narrow frames has appeared in the group of MEX hinges. We call it just NARROW FRAME HINGE. It is characterized by a short frame wing and much smaller spacing.
Hinge spacing for comparison:
- narrow frame hinge- 59mm
- asymmetrical hinge - 67mm,
- symmetrical hinge - 92mm.
MEX hinges are a new improved generation of surface hinges. They are more shapely, with a refreshed design, have an extended range of gasket pressure adjustment, and attractive price. The MEX group includes symmetrical, asymmetric and narrow frame hinge, available in a 2- and 3-wing version with stainless or galvanized pin.
